HCPC publishes Fitness to practise annual report 2019

The report highlights key statistics and insights and explains how we protect the public and ensure our registrants meet our standards

Recognising financial challenges currently facing the higher education sector

While we are not responsible for providing funding or direct financial support for the education providers or programmes we approve, we are keen to provide clarity and guidance where we can.

Review documents

We produce reviews of the regulatory work we do in assessing and monitoring programmes

Raising concerns

Information on raising concerns and access to the online concerns form

Reviewing the way we work – improving your experience

We introduced our quality assurance model in September 2021. In replacing our previous model, we aimed for the HCPC’s Education function to be flexible, intelligent and data-led in our risk-based quality assurance of education providers.

Executive summary

Based on our recent assessments of education providers and programmes, these reports set out a ‘state of the nation’ for education and training in the 15 professions we regulate.

Retention schedule

We are required to keep case records for a period of time once the case has ended.

Additional entitlements

We have powers to mark or 'annotate' the Register to show where a registrant has additional entitlements because they have completed additional training in a particular area of practice.

Professional bodies for dietitians

Professional bodies typically promote the profession, represent their members and provide curriculum frameworks, training and CPD.
