The CPD audit process

During each renewal we randomly select 2.5 per cent of each profession and ask them to submit their CPD profile

Further centralising the service user

We have improved the central role of the service user, including a focus on valid consent and effective communication. This is one theme within the key changes to the updated standards of proficiency for all professions. 

Record retention and disposal policy

This policy is also important in assisting the HCPC to comply with its obligations under the Data Protection Act 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation 2016 and the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

Closure of the COVID-19 Temporary Register

The Government has announced that the healthcare professions temporary registers, including the HCPC temporary register, are set to close on 30 September 2022.
